A devoted lover of jazz, Russell Quagliata has been booking and producing shows with some of the best musicians for nearly four decades. Starting with baritone sax great Cecil Payne, whom he represented for 18 years, Russell stood out in the New York City metro jazz scene and continued to engage some of the hottest musicians.
Some of the jazz icons he's worked with are Clark Terry, Lou Donaldson, Red Rodney, "Big" Nick Nicholas, Houston Person, Etta Jones, Pepper Adams, Junior Cook, Bill Hardman, Richard Wyands, Harold Mabern, Nick Brignola, Turk Mauro and Larry McKenna. Russell continues to work with and to engage some of today's foremost jazz artists. Included among them are Eric Alexander, Joe Magnarelli, Jerry Weldon, Steve Davis, Akiko Tsuruga, Jim Rotondi, Kyle Koehler, Tony Miceli, Richie Cole, Dave Stryker, Mike DiRubbo, Grant Stewart, Clifford Adams, John Swana, Abraham Burton and Pat Bianchi.
Since 2005, Russell's been producing and hosting the Jazz & Blues Showcase series, bringing the best live jazz to South Jersey and its fans. Shows are on Sunday afternoons at the Lyceum Hall Center for the Arts in Burlington, NJ!
