The superb jazz artists JOE MAGNARELLI & JERRY WELDON are together again to lead their "NY Hard Bop" quartet for our series' 2026 second spring show on Sunday afternoon, APRIL 12th. The high-demand jazz artists organist KYLE KOEHLER & drummer BYRON LANDHAM provide quartet support.
For more than four-decades, trumpeter MAGNARELLI has delighted worldwide jazz audiences with his playing. His distinguished resume shows recorded work as both a leader & sideman, & performances with many jazz elites that include Rosemary Clooney, Lionnel Hampton, Buddy Rich, Ray Barretto, John Pizzarelli & Harry Connick, Jr. His trumpet artistry earned him honors from the Thelonious Monk International Trumpet Competition & Downbeat Magazine. Downbeat also named him "one of the top five, over 30 post bebop trumpeters today."
Renowned tenor saxophonist WELDON has a stellar four-decade plus international resume. It includes important work with piano greats George Cables & Cedar Walton & organ giants Jimmy McGriff, Jack McDuff, Joey DeFrancesco & Dr. Lonnie Smith. A charter member & stalwart in the band of Harry Connick, Jr., Weldon's outstanding career also includes substantial recorded work as both a leader & sideman & performances with jazz luminaries Mel Torme, Lionel Hampton, George Benson, Roy Haynes & Jimmy Cobb, among others.

Our Jazz & Blues Showcase has performed live jazz in a variety of venues in the South Jersey area. We've loved discovering interesting venues for these amazing ensembles!
